2025 was one of those years that reminds me exactly why I do this job. It was a season of building stronger relationships with existing clients, working with new teams, and travelling to circuits I\u2019d never visited before. From endurance racing at the N\u00fcrburgring to drifting at Anglesey and rally stages across the UK, the year was packed with moments that made every mile worthwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a look back at some of the highlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gracie Mitchell Racing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The year was effectively bookended by my work with Gracie Mitchell. At the start of the season we travelled to Circuito Monteblanco in Spain for a test day with the Tockwith Motorsports team, running a Ginetta. Gracie quickly found pace in the car, which wasn\u2019t a huge surprise given its similarities to machinery she had driven previously. It was a really positive start to the year ahead of her campaign in the Iberian Supercar Championship across Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not long after returning from Spain, we headed up to Donington Park for a GB4 test day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately I missed a few race weekends during the middle of the season due to clashes with other events, but toward the end of the year I rejoined the team in Jerez, Spain. It was a fantastic race weekend with great results for Gracie and the team. The venue itself was stunning – a picturesque circuit surrounded by rolling Spanish hills and a brilliant place to create both photo and video content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My final event of the year with Gracie was at Estoril Circuit in Portugal. It was another new venue for me and one I thoroughly enjoyed exploring while searching for creative shots around the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s always a pleasure working with Gracie and her family. I\u2019m proud to be a small part of her race programme and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing where her career takes her next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teesside Motorsports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Teesside Autodrome underwent a major rebrand in 2025, becoming Teesside Motorsports. The organisation now encompasses a huge variety of motorsport events both at the venue and across the UK and Europe, including their 24-hour kart races, sprint series, the NBS bike series and several other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The NBS series was particularly fun to cover. While it\u2019s run as a serious racing championship, the atmosphere often feels more like a group of mates enjoying a track day together. There\u2019s a real focus on fun, clean competition and pushing personal limits rather than purely chasing outright results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Drift Matsuri<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I was spoilt in 2025 with the return of Spring Matsuri, alongside the usual Drift Matsuri later in the year at Anglesey Circuit. Having two opportunities to shoot cars sliding around one of the UK\u2019s most scenic circuits was a real treat. Spring Matsuri had fantastic weather, which made the event even more enjoyable – both for the drivers and for capturing photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Drift Matsuri later in the year was a slightly different experience for me, as a friend travelled over from the US to experience the event. I spent time with him between shooting, which meant I was incredibly busy throughout the weekend but also enjoyed the event even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights for me was jumping into Karl Farrar\u2019s Mustang for a few laps across all the circuit layouts during the Friday media session – a really memorable experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakell Racing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first half of the year was extremely busy, with several trips to Germany working with Breakell Racing as they competed in the NLS season, the ADAC qualifiers, and of course the N\u00fcrburgring 24 Hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s always a pleasure working with this team. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, but when it comes to race performance everyone is focused on getting the absolute maximum out of the car and the team. Despite being a relatively small operation, they consistently punch well above their weight when it comes to results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

992 Endurance Cup Spa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 992 Endurance Cup at Spa-Francorchamps deserves a full post of its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spending several days exploring one of the world\u2019s greatest circuits while covering an endurance event packed with racing was easily one of the highlights of my year. Sharing the experience with a friend made it even better. It\u2019s the kind of event that reminds you why Spa remains one of the most iconic circuits in motorsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roger Albert Clark Rally<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a two-year wait, the Roger Albert Clark Rally finally returned – and it was worth every second of anticipation. For rally fans in the UK, this event is something truly special. The combination of historic rally cars, long stages, and the atmosphere surrounding the event makes it one of the standout motorsport experiences in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many ways it rivals the atmosphere of WRC events. A full post on this rally will be coming soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Misc Shots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To finish off, there are countless smaller events, test days and spontaneous trips that filled the gaps throughout the year. Many of these aren\u2019t major assignments – they\u2019re simply days spent photographing motorsport because I love both racing and photography. I wouldn\u2019t change what I do for anything. I\u2019m fortunate enough to do something I genuinely enjoy every day, and I appreciate every opportunity I get to be trackside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
